Mayor Among Those Scouring The Streets

Just how many homeless are there in Vancouver, and how did they get there?

Mayor Gregor Robertson was among the volunteers checking shelters, safe houses and transition centres last night in an attempt to answer those questions and more. They'll be out tonight searching outdoor locations like Stanley Park, and other areas missed in Monday night's count.

The City will use the figures to update its Homeless Action Plan. We'll have an update later this morning from the count.
