From Stuart MacKinnon and Adrian Dix
Dear Friends:
In the last Provincial Election, we ran against each other as candidates for the NDP and Green Party in the riding of Vancouver Kingsway. We argued some, agreed on much, and enjoyed the campaign. Together, we won 58 per cent of the vote in our constituency.
However, progressive voices in our community cannot be divided if we are to take back City Hall from the NPA.
As Vancouver prepares for one of the most important civic election in its history, there is something we both agree on – the Vancouver Kingsway Provincial riding has two strong candidates for City Council running for the nomination for Vision Vancouver – Andrea Reimer who lives near Trout Lake and Dr. Kerry Jang, who lives in Renfrew-Collingwood. For our communities, traditionally under-represented in civic politics, Andrea and Kerry will make sure that our issues are on the table.
Andrea and Kerry bring a great deal to this campaign. Andrea is a nationally-recognized advocate for environmental issues. Kerry is a renowned expert on mental health and addiction policies. Together they will not only represent our neighbourhoods with determination but make Vancouver a more just, more sustainable, and healthier place to live.
On September 20th, (not to mention November 15th), please consider Andrea Reimer and Kerry Jang.
Sincerely,
Stuart Mackinnon
